After almost a year of rehearsing, fine tuning, recording, editing, mixing and mastering, we four women of The Measure have successfully finished creating an EP of our own music, penned two at a time by each one of us. If you’d like to pick up your own copy, we’ll be having a CD Release show at an intimate new venue in the city. Here are the details:
The Measure CD Release

I am proud to announce some tremendous news. The film that Three Metre Day scored, now entitled “Still Mine” has been nominated for 7 Canadian Screen Awards (formerly the Genie and Gemini Awards), including best motion picture, best actor, best actress, and…original score! We were floored by this news and are pretty excited to be included. The awards will air on tv March 3rd. You can watch us (or poke fun at us) in our fancy duds doing our best Can-celebrity shmoozing. More likely looking hopelessly… awkward. I’ll let you be the judge. Some other good news for us – we were given a small grant by the Ontario Arts Council which enables us to record new material we’ve been writing over the last six months. Hooray! ….and thank you OAC.
Last but not least – mark yer calendars and cancel your Tuesday night bowling…. we have a gig.

New demo’s to share, and covers too. More good stuff to come with us in the next few months. Like possibly, a few tour dates in Turkey… Stay tuned!
