Yesterday I released a brand new video from the same session that happened here at the house. This one doesn’t include my cute neighbours kids skipping down the street, but I think you’ll enjoy it nonetheless. The song is called Battlefield (A Letter To You). It features them fine ladies The O’Pears singing background vocals and was filmed once again by Patric McGroarty. It kind of hit home to me that feeling of helplessness, when you completely lose sight of what the ‘right’ thing is anymore. Something like that. Who knows. These things change.
Here it is. A song of mine called "Home". I wrote it about 5 years ago. I was heading home on the long, viewless, and bumpy Kipling 44 bus, thinking about a few things and a new friend. This song has come through a few incarnations over the years, but right now I am thrilled to have the following musicians sing and play such lush and warm tones all over it.
On guitar….thom gill
On bass…..charles james
On drums…..steven foster
On bg vocals….the o’pears — meg contini, jill harris, lydia persaud
On keys and lead vocals….c’est moi.

Lots of things in the works. The fabulous Kamela Mulder (creator of those great Songs We Write, Covers We Love posters) is currently working on a new piece for me that I’m excited to share.
Also! Patric McGroarty filmed us this past Friday playing some songs of mine in my living room. Hella bg vocals. Good times. To be shared soon.
And HEY! We’re doing a mini-tour at the end of April. We being me, Thom Gill, Charlie James and Philippe Melanson. Do do do come. See event details here.
