Woo!! Two of my favourite musicians to hear and play with in Toronto. These guys both have such unique voices. I am truly honoured playing with them. We’ll be playing songs by all three of us in solo, duo and trio style, along with a choice selection of covers. Amy Grants “Baby Baby” anyone?

5 shows already. Yikes. This show has been so much fun. I’m really thankful to the Tranzac for allowing us to run it in their cozy front room. For those who worry about late nights, it is a 10pm starter but we do only play 1 set and go till just after 11pm. Then we all enjoy the ambiance (and beer:) that the Tranzac has to offer.

Each show has been so special. I feel fortunate having worked with all of these people, not to mention having the opportunity to perform their own music with them. It is a truly intimate and growing experience. Show number 5 will be no different. I have worked with this artist more times than I can count but he still manages to produce a sound that makes me turn my head all the time. Don Rooke will be joining me (along with special guest band TBA) on slide guitar. We will be playing music featured as part of The Henrys, Mary Margaret O’Hara, Three Metre Day, and more. There will also be a significant amount of covers in this show, some by Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt and some not so well known ones too.  Please be sure to get there a bit early to ensure you get a seat!

New Three Metre Day Videos

22/11/2013

For those of you who follow our band Three Metre Day, this summer we released five brand new videos. Each shot was bathed in natural light, streaming in from the floor to ceiling windows of 80 Gladstone. We were joined by our friends and bandmates Maury LaFoy (bass) and Mark Mariash (drums). We performed songs new and old. We drank coffee from trendy Queen West. All in all it was a good day. Our videographer and audio king was Patric McGroarty, a wonderful person to work with should you ever need similar work. Want to take a sneak peak?  I've posted a couple of them below, and you can find more at the VIDEO tab above.

We have one more new video for you. This one is a-somethin special. Not too long ago we decided we should try to make our own videos (I personally failed and have yet to show my filming prowess). Don created a travelogue video for an alternate version of our song We Now Hope We Win. Hugh filmed us while we played the song This Day Is Getting Old, an often left-out track from our album Coasting Notes but one we hold dear for its intimacy and space. I hope you love this. It was edited by the ever-creative Martin Tielli, and can be viewed right here.
